When we turn on the radio's we tend to hear more of the seventies and eighties music being repeated on a daily basis.
This was the time when music was being shaped by what it is today. Listening to modern music I notice that the seventies has its influence, but what becomes rather irritating is that they all seem to play the same songs over and over again. These programming directors have no heart when it comes to selection.
I am a seventies child, lived through the music, enjoyed the moments even if I had not reached my teens. The fact that one needed to wait till the album is released and to buy the record at the shop, running home to place it in the record player, turning the volume up - loud! Screams come from the launch from my dad to turn that "Noice Down" was a time one never forgets.
No internet, no cell phones, no mp3 players. To transport music one needed a motor car and an 8track player to listen to the music on the move but then times changed when Sony introduced the cassette player and portable recorders. One would sit late at night on the local radio station and wait for that song to be played and all in mono!
The pleasures one forgets when as teens we gather on weekend at our friend's houses to be introduced to "new" groups.
We all forget these days long gone past, as Einstein once said, I pity the youth when the computer was invented.
This is why I want this music to be promoted on 70vibe-fm playing not only the "well known" songs but those "evergreens" we have forgotten.
