It has been quite a while now since our country (SA) experienced load shedding three years ago, well our power parastatal Eskom, our power monopolist has announced load shedding as they are unable to produce enough energy to accommodate the countries needs.
I am not going to go into the politics of our country but it's sad that our once stable energy service provider has degraded to a limping company due to years of corruption and maladministration to enforce daily load shedding.
What this means is that once or twice a day our power will be cut to preserve the stability of our grid is the order of the day. We at 70vibe-fm do not have the generating power to keep our broadcasts up and will result in us being off air for a maximum of three hours on given days, which we do apologise for.
Hopefully, after the upcoming election, a new compliant government will be voted in to administrate this country in a correct way.
Until then thank you for still tuning into the world of the seventies music. We are planning to try and indicate when we are on air or off air on our website.
Have a blessed Christmas.
